I think I know what you're talking about as they talked about that during my orientation. Is that referring to your major or just general?

This is specifically for my major. I have to have 19 units. I think I get it, but I'm not sure. I really think they want me to just take two classes that are the same department, but one is the basic, and one is the one that comes after it... in one of those two sections or something...?
Okay, are you required to take those classes now? Because at my orientation when they were speaking with us about classes to choose, they said we should take general classes first (to get the requirements out of the way) and also some of those general classes would be prerequisites for the actual upper division courses which would count towards our major.
Not for this semester, but I'd like to plan out what courses I want to take, when, and the like. I want to see what I can do with my schedule, and plan ahead, so I can be more flexible if I have to alter stuff... So I really just want to understand what's required of me. These breadth electives just have to be done by the time I graduate.

Fenrir is right. And the 300-500 are the upper division courses-- there should be courses like that. I don't know if they gave you a catalog or the class schedule book, but those should be in there. And actually the catalog goes into detail about which courses you're required to take for the major.

Yeah, I've been looking through it, and I can see a list of the classes that work. I don't know where you get 300-500 from... the highest numbers I see are like 190. But I think I've got it... now I just have to figure out what classes I should take, lol.
Hmm.. there should be classes with 300-500.. I don't know.. :\ But good luck. Stick with the general stuff.
Lol, yeah. For them, upper level might be those that are in three digits? Or otherwise those that have an A and a B class. But I have the entire list of all the possible classes that I can take for my major to satisfy this requirement, and none of them go over 200... lol.

Haha, that is a little weird.. are you at a private university or something? I don't know it may be different. But I've looked through the catalog of majors and all of them require those 300s-500s.

Public. Like all the numbers are 1A, 1B, 100A, 100B... or C160, 40AC, 10, 150, 101, 175A-180D... But none of the numbers get larger... That is what we're talking about, right? ...? lol, I'm so confused!
