Even if she were in jail, her organization would still be there, doing what it's done since it was formed. She's gotten laws passed in lots of places, some even due to this case.
I never intended to start a thread where people could freely bash me and my beliefs as they saw fit. It was a yes or no question.

how dare you accuse me of bashing you or your beliefs. i've done nothing of the sort. you on the other hand called me pathetic and told me that gandhi would be ashamed of my opinions.

Where have I EVER said I believe every creature should have it's own rights? Actually, I am completely and totally AGAINST animal rights. Nice insults though, they don't describe me at all whatsoever, because the only reason I post these types of threads is because I am active in animal rescue in my life, and I always have been, but I'm sure they would work on someone on this forum.
I know a few members off the top of my head, actually.

Besides, californication, you have still failed to make a direct correlation as to how making a webpage has anything to do with making an arrest. But whatever. I guess you're the one who knows everything. What with your totally unique and indie avatar and whatnot.

Good for you, list off these respectable members, and make me feel even worse about myself.

in the true spirit of MLK and THoreau, civil disobedience comes at a cost. She did what she though was morally appropriate, but the law says stealing is wrong.

sometimes, you have to choose to commit an action even if that action lands you in jail.

So you can attack them? Nah.
You don't feel bad about yourself at all, either. You're just pissed off that you judged me wrong because you wasted a post of good insults that could have been used on someone at a good time. And now you don't have anything to come back at me with. Har.

can't even rescue your dead hamster or dying rat, thank the world the only animals you are allowed to have are rodents.

As for the lady, it wasn't her place to do what she did. It was the right thing to do, but with our current system; it wasn't her place.

It's true, but should this be the law anymore?
Should we really keep our property rights to live animals past a certain point of abuse, when someone else sees the abuse that we've done to them and brings us to justice?
Unfortunately, it's no secret that in many areas, law enforcement won't answer animal abuse calls. And neither will the humane society, they'd rather not get involved. There's no one left to speak up for any animals left dying in their backyards, and it seems that the animal welfare act just sweeps right over them, and their owners are then protected. Just isn't fair.

breaking the law is only the answer when you feel morally compelled to do so, and that moral compulsion comes at a cost.

should the law be changed? yes.
Did she break the law? Yes.
Does she deserve to go to jail under the current state of legal affairs? Yes.

I am all for changing the law, but those who break it must be pay the consequences.

Just responded as I felt you were responding to me. That's all.

If you noticed in my last post to you, I said I didn't intend for this thread to become that, meaning I am done talking to you on the subject, if you can't catch the reading comprehension.

and all i'm saying is that you never explained why it was ok for you bash someone's opinions (even though it was a misinterpretation of my opinion at that) and effectively call me a bad person.
seems to me from this thread that you're the person who has a problem articulating ideas, since i'm not the only one who didn't "catch the reading comprehension" (whatever that means).
