seems like a huge fuss over a dog, on both sides

So they should have just allowed the dog to die in it's backyard with a chain embedded in it's neck, not helping it?

maybe

I think what she did was right, but then again she could have handled it better imo. She made a site and everything over a dog. Did she talk to the owners about it, I'm sure she probably did.
I realize animals should be treated well and all, I love my dog, but  it was a little extensive.

What do you mean 'she made a site over a dog'?
She is the founder of an organization that rescues dogs, and she had that settled long before this dog came along. Either you're mixed up, or ... I don't even know.

She had her own site yes, and her job before that, I read the article, I realize that. But didn't it say she made a cafe press site just over that one dog?

No, I said her supporters made products that supported her decision regarding this dog, which the judge made them take down from the Cafe Press website.

Well then there was a website about the one dog, regardless then right?

There is a page on the Dogs Deserve Better website dedicated to the case, and to Doogie. But that has nothing to do with this thread.

That says a lot about the type of person you are.
Not the type of person I'd associate with. A pathetic type of person, essentially. Gandhi would be ashamed.

No.
Dogs live and feel. They hurt and get sad and can be happy.
The dog was obviously in a bad home and would have died. It was owned by the people, but I see it that once people stop caring for it, they give up the right to keep it.

Um yes, it can relate to this thread. I was saying I think they made a big fuss over that one dog.

And who is they? That's all you said.
Obviously, you aren't in this type of world, where this is something you see everyday, or often, at all. I don't expect you to understand. And evenso, that has nothing to do with whether or not she should have been arrested or not.
No matter what you say, them making a page on their website dedicated to a dog that they rescued that the founder of their organization went to jail for has no bearing on something that happened before the page was even made. You're failing to even make any sense.

sorry i don't conform to your morals, but i'm a pragmatist and utilitarian.
she should have gone through the system instead of taking matters into her own hands, even if this dog ended up suffering more or dying even. the judge is being a dick (which i already said), but she should have thought the situation through more. if she hadn't done this she could be saving more animals right now by helping to create new laws that protect animals from cruelty or trying to get more enforcement of existing animal cruelty laws.
by saying "maybe" i meant that maybe the death or suffering of one animal could be justified if it means that many many more would be better off.

Actually, she is saving just as many animals right now as she was before. Nothing is holding her back.

terribly sorry that i'm not an expert on this case and assumed she was in jail, especially since the information you presented implied that

Soothsayer

Okay, so she was arrested for taking the dog...sooo...what about the dog's owner? The way he/she was treating it was illegal, too, right?...

Even if she were in jail, her organization would still be there, doing what it's done since it was formed. She's gotten laws passed in lots of places, some even due to this case.
I never intended to start a thread where people could freely bash me and my beliefs as they saw fit. It was a yes or no question.

Nobody's ever said what happened to them.
I don't think they were ever charged with animal neglect or abuse, or anything they did. They should have been, but I don't think they were. Their dog clearly suffered greatly.

It is incorrect from what you believe, stop trying to push your opinions on other people so strongly. Just because you think what I believe is stupid, doesn't mean you have to treat me like an idiot. I think this woman made too big of a deal about this dog, and could have gone about better to save the animal.
You sit there, shouting out your beliefs, being all 'environmentally friendly', a kind animal-loving person, who believes that every living creature should have its own rights. A stuck up Ghandi-loving young adult, who has so much to offer this world with her young age and knowledge. So independent and original. Why don't you go and buy yourself some fucking starbucks.
Oh but I guess this doesn't phase you, and I guess this doesn't make me any less wrong.
