All of my friends applied at thrifty foods and got in. I didn't. They all got friendly looking men with pot bellies interviewing them, and I got some skinny lady with perfect hair and way to much make-up. And she frowned at my when I said one of my curricular activities is band... and she looked at me funny. I don't think she liked the way I was dressed (because I dressed nerdy, just like all of my friends). I'm just really disappointed.
My friends are going to have a great time working there, and they're going to make new friends. And they're going to have so many interesting stories to tell about funny things that happen around their work place... and I'm going to get a job somewhere, where all of my coworkers are boring and nothing interesting happens. Then I'll feel left out when they tell their stories...
I know it will happen that way... because it always happens that way... with school classes and everything...
Now I'm so disappointed and I can't even know how I feel because it sounds ridiculous... but it's true.
I'm just so goddamn tired of getting the short end of the stick.
