Basically to get to where I work, you have to drive over this big steep mountain. Well, it was foggy and the roads were wet from last night. I was coming around a turn and braked too hard? and just started swirving/fish tailing all over the road.

I went straight into an incline type thing, smashing into a few things along the way. I hit a good sized rock, a boulder, and then a tree. Completely totalling my fathers car. Its irreparable, so I owe him like 3 grand. Which is fine, I deserve that. From what he told me, I bent the frame, broke the axil (both back tires were torn off of the car), ruined the brakes...and some other things that I can't seem to recall right now...

The funny thing is that I hit everything on the drivers side, and walked away with only a few scratches and a bruised shoulder. The air bags never even went off and I had to climb out the window because I couldn't get the doors open. A foot to either side, and I would have went head on into a tree.  

I guess I have a guardian angel on my side or something..?

I'm apparently getting a fine for wreckless driving though...How many points is that on your license?

I've had a couple spin-outs on icy roads.  I've been lucky enough not to damage my car though.  I guess you'll be more careful next time.  :p

And won't your insurance cover the damages?

I'm under my parents insurance, but not fully covered. From what I understand, the only way they would cover it is if there would have been another car involved.

My parents did take it to a shop, and I guess it has that much damage, that it would cost just way too much to even try to fix.

yoru on third party fire and theft insurance, so they will only pay damages to the other people, not you.

you could contest wreckless driving if nobody saw you driving like that just say that you was doing fine and something just happened, you dont know what happened the car just slid off the road, you was within teh speed limit and driving in your opinion safely.....unless they have someone to say different that have to accept it
