I think that maybe one of the worst things one can do is laugh at you when you're upset. I have a cold at the moment and can hardly talk, breath or anything- and everyone around me thinks it's cute.
So every time I sneeze or frown or say something like "can you please quiet down a bit, my head hurts", they laugh and say "awww, you're so cute" and ignore what I actually said.
They do it when I'm just plane grumpy too, but it's worse when I've got a cold. Which I think might actually have the potential of being tonsillitis, or a really bad flue.
