At this point I'm desperate.

The only thing I can swallow is boiling hot tea, I've been taking antibiotics and cold pills, and I'm eating cough drops like they're candy.

I need a cure. My throat hurts like a motherfucker. Every time I swallow I feel like I'm going to cry.

FIX ME.

Honest to God, gargle salt water.

Not only does it take the pain away REALLY quickly, but it eventually cures it too.

Like the other guy said, gargling salt water will help cure your sore throat, but for me it doesn't relieve the pain.
Sucking on an ice pop helps sometimes.
Try getting that numbing throat spray, it helps a bit.

gargling warm salt water always helps me. also try to get your hands on chloraseptic (brand name) or some other form of oral analgesic, and of course hot tea with honey and a bit of lemon

i agree with the warm salt water. you should also try eating some chewy ice or sucking on some ice cubes.
