Notice how you care only about yourself and not of the lives of others including the fetus you may be killing. Your maturity could be compared to that of a prostitute. You put pleasure before moral and that is what makes you selfish now and forevermore. Really, though, debating with a Canadian is a lost cause and not worth the effort.
Actually, if you sit back and take a good hard look at it... what's more mature. Choosing abortion, to allow yourself time to grow up, avoid forcing your family or the tax payers to pay for the child and cornering a young man into working full time while going to school to pay child support. or Choosing the baby. This means you drop outta school, or force the child upon your family. You may have to work, which means making your family help out more. Or makes my taxes to go up so you can use welfare to do all of this. It also causes some poor young man to require a job to pay child support, or makes his family pay it. While a teenager living home, any decision you make that affects anyone other than yourself, is selfish unless your family fully supports your decision. Selfishness can equal immaturity. Many young girls go "I'm so ready for a baby, mom will watch it while I go to school... and if I want to go out with my friends, my brother can baby sit!" If a person does their education, weights the pros and cons and then makes an educated decision with the people around her, then she has done something mature. If they choose abortion, then it's an adult mature decision. If they choose to keep the baby, that is also an adult mature decision. It is the decisions that are made on a whim that are not mature. And question, why is debating with a Canadian a waste of time? At least I'm educated enough to know my geography AND the US.. and most of the rest of the world. I've spoken with a good number of American's who think I live in the arctic.

I believe women should have a say, but there should be laws that are more strict as to when an abortion may be done, like within the first month.

The first month bit would be nice if it was plausible, but it isn't. Women usually don't realize they're pregnant within the first month, and even if they do, many places (all the clinics here) will not perform an abortion until at least 6 weeks.

Some people doesnt find out the same week they get pregnant. I think changing the time is stupid, cause it takes time to find out that youre pregnant, you might not notice. You maybe need time to decide.
It's true that you may need time to decide, but there needs to be a firm set limit for elective abortion times. Meaning, you get knocked up and want an abortion, you have X number of days after seeing your doctor to decide and have the appointment booked, and you must do so before 12 weeks guaranteed. Anything after 12 weeks should be for medical purposes only, and this would have to be perscribed by a doctor with evidence that it's needed.

Pro life as I value the life of human beings. However, if the birth was going to kill the mother or the baby would be born dead anyway (or a similar case), then I could understand the reasoning behind abortion. However, if the baby was the result of unprotected premartial sex then it should, under law, be put up for adoption. Selfishness should not have to take it's toll on another person's life. That's my "opinion." Because I live in America, I'm allowed to have it. My opinion is not going to change the world, so if you insist on arguing with it then you shall be politely be ignored.
What about protected sex? Or sex within marriage where the couple already has children they love, but can't financially support another child without falling into poverty (a surprising number of abortions are situations similar to that). Personally, I don't value human life. I value persons. Saying that all human life is equally valuable gets you in some sticky situations ethically.
