I can't believe she died... and I was so lucky

My mum just told me that this woman we know has died. I didn't know her that much, but my mum knew her quite well and she was the chairwoman of our synagogue so she was pretty high profile in that area of my life. She was just driving on her way home and a car crashed into the front of her car and she skidded off the road. She has a son the same age as me, I can't imagine being without my mum now.

It just makes me realise how lucky I am to have my mum. Three years ago she was hit by a tram and she is so amazingly lucky to be alive. If it happened to her now, she probably wouldn't survive. It just scares me how these random events can happen that change lives forever.

i worry about losing my parents and siblings all the time. i don't know what i would do without them. its just incredible to think that someone you love so much can be taken away from you so easily.

Wow. That really makes you put things in perspective. Too many people take too many things for granted. Life is too short and too much of a gift for anyone to do that. Give your mom my condolences.
