I have a new HP laptop and the wireless internet has crapped out and i only get "local only" access when i connect to any network now. It is really frustrating. I have no idea how to fix and HP customer support blows. Anyways i don't believe it is hardware related but instead a vista problem. I could be wrong. Any help?

You just need to hope you can connect.  I have the same problem too sometimes.  Usually when that happens I just hardwire.

It's not a vista problem most likely its a problem with you ISP(Internet Service Provider).  Call them and see if they can get it sorted.

Go to the HP website and download/install the drivers.  You may have to uninstall your current drivers to do so, but it stands a chance of helping.
