Now I really don't care if someone is gay, or not. Though a couple of these kids have been kissing on/off campus, and have been made fun of for it.

Awhile ago there was a bit of drama, and one of them ended up "getting his ass kicked", even though he's fine. Now a lot of kids are making fun of him, and his family.

Now there are some other kids that are recently being made fun of. Since I'm somewhat the type that hangs out with everyone, I hear a lot of perspectives on what's going on. I've been hearing talk from some of the kids about beating up the gay kid(s), and all that. Then talk from the gay kids, and their friends about beating up the bigots.

Usually I'll just not step in unless things get out of hand, and don't give people trouble unless they cause trouble that affects me. Also I always try to use reason, and talk things out at first. I've tried to talk to both groups, and it hasn't worked out really. Morally, I do feel that I'm going to end up fighting the majority at my school(the ones bashing on the gay kids).

I guess posting this does nothing, but whatever it's still annoying.

Secondly, if there's open threats of violence and you feel like you can't do anything to stop it, maybe it's time to take the issue to an adult. I know no one likes doing these things because snitching is uncool and whatever else, but if violence is imminent than really you have no choice. You can do it anonymously and you won't get grief from any of your friends. If you don't want to give names then you can just try and get the school to take some time to talk to students about respecting each other and not being violent. Or just announcing stricter penalties for students that fight, which may deter a lot of people.

I mean that it's a continuation school. The School only cares about what goes on, on campus, and within 100 feet or so of the school grounds. This town is your typical small town, and full of Neo-nazi's, and other hate groups. You really are ignorant on this specific matter,  and I'm not looking for advice. Your advice might matter in a nice place, where jerry spring shit doesn't happen every damn day.

I'm not going to engage in an argument with you about it, but really uncalled for. If the people in your town are anything like you, it's no surprise violence is so easily used.

Believe me I understand that it wasn't as rude as it could have been but the point is it was rude, however slightly so, for absolutely no reason. Just the fact that you got even the slightest bit offensive over absolutely nothing is cause to say that.

I respect what you said and can understand where you are coming from, you just could have been nicer about saying it. I'm sorry that your town is so bad though, and I do truly think it is really good of you to be standing up for your friends even against the whole town.
