I am strongly against an American Occupation of Iraq. I am also against sanctions of a nation.

Why are sanctions bad? Sanctions kill more innocents than anything. They will not stop a nation doing what they want to do at all.

I am also against the 9/11 attacks yet I can symathsise for the militias fighting in Iraq and Afganistan.

Why do I take up for the miltias fighting in Iraq and Afganistan? This war was based on lies. Lies that get many innocents killed. Lies that blow up religous monuments. As long as they follow rules of warfare and not randomly kill civillans they have my suppourt.

I agree about economic sanctions, but I have to disagree that the US and its allies should not be occupying in Iraq at the moment.

We (collectively) created this quagmire through not just this war, but the series of wars preceding it.
It was a betrayal to the Iraqi people to get them into this mess in the first place (the part we all had in it - not that problems did not exist before western fuck-ups), but it'd be a much greater one to leave them in it.

I do think that the UN is utterly ineffective in anything it's tried to do - were I in charge, I'd dissemble the entire UN, tear down their building, and build a parking lot there, and it'd be more effective. There needs to be serious thought and plans to get the Iraqi police force into gear, get them to start managing their own goddamn country instead of just looking to the US and us to clean up their messes.
But just packing up and saying, "see ya later, Iraq!" is bullshit. Can't do that. America and the rest of us have a short attention span - we like war in the short term, but we get bored and then people start getting angry and saying "let's get outta here!" and you just don't do that in war.

The war has already been won - the greater challenge, and the one that remains, the one that the free world is losing - is winning the peace. The world can't get bored and desert Iraq and leave the citizens with an unstable government, ruined cities, destroyed livelihoods, and rogue bombers running all over. That's as sure to kill innocents as any economic sanction.

Edit for spelling and grammar.

Why they cannot sucsessfully fight America or the United Kingdom?

This thing called Jihad. I mean give it up are you going to fight for the Quran or are you going to kill for yourself?

They would be so much more sucsessful if they fought for a political movement that has nothing to do with religion.

The most sensible Miltia would have to be the Muhajideen Army. They kindly speak in english and show there opinions by not screaming death to America. They also denounce using Nuclear weapons.

They are also woefully ineffective. That'd be a great idea, if only anyone listened.

urmmm we aren't fighting militias in Afghanistan. We're fighting al queda who hide inside Pakistan's borders then strike. We very rarely fight against miltias there. Iraq the fighting is dying down between coalition forces and militias. Afghanistan needed to be invaded. Its bc of needle dick fuckers like you, that terrorists attacked the cole, and performed 9/11. If Clinton invaded it in the first place we wouldn't be in this mess. But all he did was launch a few missiles. Democrats=suckyness

Al Queda isnt the only one America is fighting. Al Queda is very small now. There are several Jihadist orginizations.

What makes you think they did 9/11?
I mean there is no exact proof Bin Laden did 9/11.

Bin Laden is wanted for an embassy attack.

You're both wrong and you both look like idiots, but alas, I'm too tired and too interested in the prospect of more enjoyable activities to explain how and why to you.

you just give your opinion, are you going to substantiate it and explain what motivated you to come to your conclusion or should we assume that its the mass media that motivated you?

I came to my conclusion after seeing what goes on in Iraq. There are Iraq vets who speak out against the US because they were told to shoot civillans.

The reason I take up for the Militas is because the Current Iraqi Goverment is a puppet to the US and Im against foerign occupation of a Country. I dont take up for people who mindlessly kill though. So I am not taking up for the Taliban at all.

If you behead or execute your just as bad as America. I mean for gods sake have some heart.
