My grandmother's birthday is on Sunday...and she wanted to see something that I've sewn and that she hasn't seen before. I have the skirt and I'll probably be wearing it with off white tights (don't worry, I know what I'm doing there). The only shoes I have that will somehow work with it are red suede heels. I need to wear heels and black, purple, and blue would be my other options. Not good.

I think the red works, because it's a very popping color and the rest of the colors are more reserved. I'll be wearing it all with a white button down.

I've asked you of your opinion and explained why I would go with the red. If a lot of people told me to just go to hell with it I'd wear something else.

However, your opinion is one I choose to disregard, because saying that it would clash either way is an great example of being small minded. Sure, some reds and some greens clash. the green we have above is a pastel.

but the actual skirt and the shoes, they're really painfull not my style. I'd wear them without white tights, that would push it way into frump.

did I use the word clash at all? It is a personal preference. I dont think that green and red look good together, even if they match well.

The skirt is incredibly short. It's around halfway down my thigh...and I don't have long thighs! I don't mean the sheer type of tights. I mean...hold on. I'm going to find a picture.  

Screw the picture part. They're a cream and woven...so in the cream it has a pattern which actually makes my legs look really long. I could also go with completely sheer tights, but I need some tights...no matter what. Most of the party will be held outside and I really don't want my knees to turn blue. Generally I'd say, "Chop my arm of as long as it looks good," but I really don't want to hear about how I should change all day.

The shoes I can't defend. I love 'em!
