My computer is dying I think...

there is a system error in the older dells, i believe,  where the tempurature thingy that controls the fan malfunctions and uses up all the cpu usage (can't remember what its reawlly called right now though)  there is a command that will shut it off and that might help, but then your computer overheats.  also, you could try doing what i did with my old inspiron, i took the fan out and cleaned it...  its recomended that it si cleaned every once in a while.  

I'm scared to clean it!

inspirons are fairly easy to take apart... you just have to find out where the connections are that are meant to be taken apart.  i'll see if i can find that site that explained it.  you could get someone to look at it, but that might cost you a bit of money.
