How long does it take for muscle to turn back into fat?  (I may be totally wrong about this, but I think it does turn back into fat if you don't work out for a long time, right?)

It's been like 7 months since I did sit-ups and ab workouts regularly.

Sadly, it will turn back into fat if the muscles are stimulated once growth.  Saggy skin also takes place, from what I heard.  And the time varies on the person and the amount of activity.

you just don't use the energy you get trhough food so it gets stored in your body as fat, on top of your muscles

depends on the persons metabolsm and if they were sitting atround doing nothing, or keeping busy

lol ive been sitting on my ass for 2 years but i still have large arms and legs from all the wrestling workouts i did 3 years ago. they arent as solid anymore, pretty soft right now actually. but once i start working out it always comes back

so im thinking muscle goes away over the course of like 5-6 years. and fat just builds up on top of it, once u drop all the fat, the muscle is showing again.

I thought i knew alot, until someone who knew more told me i didnt.

The "muscle turning to fat" thing is a complete myth. If you stop exercising, the muscles shrink and your metabolism slows. So, if you keep eating the same amount of food, you begin to put on weight.

It's only really an issue for professional athletes and the like who are used to consuming insane amounts of food.

That's ridiculous. A 200lb bodybuilder who doesn't work out for 10 years is not going to retain that amount of muscle.

muscle doesn't turn into fat.
it reduces in mass and your metabolism slows down and you gain fat, but only if you eat a lot of food, which you shouldn't if you stop exercising xx

Muscle cannot turn into fat. They are two different things.

One of the dumbest myths out there.
