I love thunderstorms.  As long as there is no threat of tornado.  Thunderstorms are amazing.

I've never heard thunder during a hurricane/tropical storm, and I've been through plenty. Just the roar of wind and heavy rain.

its cause of where we are, we aren't getting the actual storm, just the outer part of it right now.  the real thing is supposed to hit tomorrow.

I was out playing tennis yesterday as the outer parts of Hannah went over us. I never saw any lightning. We did get some sprinkles of rain though.

I agree with you there... I remember a couple of weeks ago there was a big thunder here and I swear to god when I looked outside... I saw the thunder strike right in the middle of the road, luckily no cars were there and it didn't damage the road though... It was loud and scared the hell out of me

My great grandma used to tell me that storms were the angels bowling in heaven. Thunder was a spare and lightning was a strike. It was soothing as a child :p

Okay I think I know what you are talking about but I wouldn't call that part of the circulation of hannah.

Fuck, I don't know. I'm not a meteorologist. But I've been through a lot of tropical cyclones and I never remember hearing thunder lol.

the night before gustav hit, there was lighting and some thunder.... the outer bands do contain severe thunderstorms...

but yeah the actual hurricane/tropical storm never has lightning or thunder.

Well it does happen but it's not like a thunder storm. I've only heard a few rumbles of thunder during a tropical storm/hurricane. Sometimes the outer bands can produce powerful thunder storms. I've seen it. Actually I remember the last bits of a tropical storm that went right over us a few years ago was like a really bad thunderstorm with lots of lightening. It's was awesomely creepy.
