Before moving to your own apartment.. how much money did you have before deciding to move? I'm saving up right now and i would like to know a set amount before moving cuz i do not want to regret. I'm 21 and i have a full time job

We really can't answer this because we don't know the prices of stuff in your area. Take a look in your newspaper at places that are leasing. Then you'll get an idea of the price range. You usually need first month's rent, last month's rent and a security deposit.

From there, see what your parents(or whoever you live with now) will let you take when you move. What essentials will you need to buy before you'll be able to function?

The last step is to see what utilities you'll need to have set up. Depending on the place, you may have most of them included in your rent. Or you could have none. Make sure you have enough to get those hooked up in addition to the rent money.

Hope this helps you figure it out. :)

Keep in mind, aside from what Audrey mentioned, there is also the cost of buying furniture, towels, bedding, silverware, and possibly appliances (many apartments nowadays do not come with microwaves, refrigerators, or even sometimes stoves! Plus what about a computer, TV, etc.).

There are a lot more costs involved than simple rent.

Moving into a room in a multi-room place, rather than moving out by yourself, tends to be more economical (as shared furniture like couches and such are already paid for, or split).

So when you're happy (Hurray!), or sad (Aw!),
Or frightened (Eeek!), or mad (Rats!)
An interjection starts a sentence right.
