Okay so. During the summer I went on a horrid sleeping schedule, where I'd be up from 3-6AM, and sleep until 12-1-2PM.

I've been trying to get to bed by at least 12, 1 at the latest.

i'm feeling extremely lethargic, always tired, even thinking about THINKING about eating food makes me want to vomit half the time so anytime I have an appetite I have to eat a lot. I constantly feel like my blood sugar is low.

are these normal signs of sleep deprivation? and how long would you say it would take to fully adjust to a new sleeping schedule?

I'd agree with Vicky on that, tiredness can be a sign of anaemia and diabetes. Meanwhile, try to do things that set you to sleep before you want to BE asleep.
Films always works for me! Try milk, reading, relaxing music or films. And try not to exercise right before sleep, but do exercise as this will wear you out so you'll feel naturally tired.

My psychologist recommended one method.  She told me to start the process, go to bed VERY late...like at 5:00.  Then go to bed at 4:00 the next night, and so on and so on.

I hope I live to tell the tale.
