...A.....FERRET!!!!yes they are freakin awesome and super smart so you will never get bored when playing with them, also they're cheap like 150 so you wont b spending much. So in my head i thought thank you god the perfect pet, well in gods head he was thinking semething more like "heh just wait" and with further research i discovered that here in the state of California owning a ferret is illegal.

Problem is, when you ban an animal, it doesn't do anything. People still own them, they just own them illegally. They still release them too. And they are often abused, and bought from mills.
This is why I am against the banning of exotic pets.

I know that ppl still own them but my problem is that i'm a junior in high school so i cant go out and get my own pet without my mom agreeing to have it in the house.

You shouldn't own it illegally anyway.
If you are caught, it will be taken away.
And it is not uncommon for them to be killed when they are seized.

Just choose another pet. Ferrets are extremely time/money consuming and require a very experienced owner. If you're only familiar with owning dogs and cats, they aren't really a good choice.
