You're welcome.

Some foods to stay away from, for the record:
 Science Diet
 Iams
 Purina
 Meow Mix
 Whiskas
 Friskies
 Fancy Feline

Vets promote some of these and swear by them, that is because they are paid to endorse them. Money, in the end, is everything. Plus, vets are not trained much at all in nutrition. When they are trained, it is by a representative of a certain pet food company.

bwhahaha, so basically everything ive heard of in aus stay away from

Hehe, no worries. Honestly, most people feed these foods to their pet.
The fact is though that many animals are extremely unhealthy. People think it is okay because "oh well he's alive and fine!" but, often, the food just does that: keeps them alive. They are not as healthy as they should be though.
Animals fed a raw diet, or high quality food, have improved coats, healthier teeth, longer lives, less odor, better (and happier) temperaments, they are just overall much healthier.

Unfortunately, a lot of people would just rather settle for sub-par health.

well, you are very knowlagble about those kind of things, do you work with animals at all?, or want to et

I've had animals all of my life, domestic and exotic, and have rescued dogs and cats since I was little, bringing home strays and ferals whenever I found them (or they found me). And I also have done a lot of work on both of my aunts' farms, one of which has just about every farm animal you could possibly think of.

I could never be a vet though. Being in control of an animal's life that intensely scares me. I remember losing my pets when I was young, and the vet coming out and telling us they had to be put down, or wouldn't make it, etc. It broke my heart, and I hated those vets until I was older. I don't wantr to be the one that does that.

i hate vets mostly

there was this one vet, a dog got bitten by a snake and my randparents took it to a vet and they just sat there saying it was dead while the heart was still beating and did not think to take the dog away or try to fix it at all, some don't think that the owner may be upset or anything or for the animal

but there are other careers in animal stuff

I eventually want to open a sanctuary for abandoned/seized/neglected exotic pets. Exotics are my main area, as well as dogs. I've always had both.
When I get my next exotic, I am going to see if I can get into humane education. I'd like to take him/her around to schools and educate them on how to handle an animal, especially exotic animals.

No worries, I'd make sure they understand how to touch/act around the animal. That's pretty much the main focus of humane education.

The next exotic I intend to have is a hybrid cat. Either a Savannah or a Safari. I'm going to be saving my money hard.

Well by exotic I mean just an unusual, uncommon pet.
But there is a breed of cat called the Exotic. It is just a shorthair version of the Persian.

Savannah cats are Bengal/Serval mixes. Safaris are Bengal(and other breeds)/Geoffrey's Cat mixes.

Here's a Savannah.

And here is a Safari. These are much newer than the Savannah.

Here's a breeder that specializes in exotic breeds.

they are both beautiful, the first pics remind me of this breed of cat, like a giant cat that was not allowed in aus because of fears that if it was out it would kill lots of native animals because of its size amd breeding with other cats ect
