In 1978, lead-based paint was banned by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, officials citing that lead paint can lead to deaths and organ failures of children. You can walk to the paint store right now and buy paint that is lead free. Though, if you look on the packaging or labels on the paint, you will never see a label that says "Lead Free". Why would you? It's the law, and any paint that did have lead in it wouldn't be able to be sold. On September 24, 1965, Executive Order 11246 was signed by President Johnson. Executive Order 11246 required Equal Employment Opportunity in the United States. Specifically, employers are required to "take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment, without regard to their race, color, religion, sex or national origin.". This isn't just a rule that some places have, it is federal law along with lead paint.
I am having a tough time trying to get a thesis that ties into what I want to talk about later in the paper. What I want to talk about later in the paper is companies playing the "Not a racist game", with any picture they have posted on a website having a white female, an Asian, and a curly haired black lady. Showing pictures of diversity, then I add in a smart comment about diversity is only about how people look. Etc, stuff like that.

what is the main thrust of your paper?
