It's like, actually affecting my life. It's painful to swallow, and it's painful when I don't swallow.

It's been hurting violently (for lack of a better phrase) since last night. The pain has subsided slightly, but only because I've been inhaling fluids all day.

Any ideas on what is the matter? Just came on suddenly, last night.

Unless you have strep throat, it could get better.

I always get a sore throat that lasts for a few days before I get a cold, then the sore throat leaves me and I'm stuck with the cold.
