is it a good idea to purchase the xbox elite because i have $1000 and want to play some games and i'm trying to decide between systems? would you recommend the extended warrenty also? because i would choose this for the use of 120gb hd which is required for best use!

get the extended warranty if you have money left over, I'd also suggest getting some microsoft points and sub to xbox live

Who needs 120gb? I haven't even used up my 20gb HDD and I have loads of demos, music and DLC on it. And the standard 360 has a 60gb HDD anyway.
