We were understaffed, and we were full, because of the power outages, people were still eating out.
I had 4 large tables, and one of my friends came in with his family. The grillers messed up their order, and I wasn't able to get to them as fast as I should, etc.
And his mother understood that I'm flustered over yesterday's suicide, and that we're understaffed etc.
She yelled at my manager, saying things like "THAT GIRL WAS ONE OF THE KINDEST WAITRESSES, SHE WAS FANTASTIC AND I AM OUTRAGED THAT YOU ARE UNDERSTAFFED, AND HAVE HER WORKING WHEN YOU KNOW HER FRIEND COMMITTED SUICIDE!"
She told him, and me, that my manager owed me an apology, and my manager got really flustered and ran in the back, and huddled himself in a corner.
I felt so bad for him, she really freaked out
