people are born to have kids in their later teens, what's not normal is people having kids in their late thirties and then trying to raise a teenager in their fifties.

Some can, some can't. Either way, I'm not going to arbitrarily respect or despise all teenage parents.

Well, I think that it's stupid to have a baby as a teenager. And if you really wanted to raise it as a teen then you possibly could, but man you would need a lot of help. But it's mostly about maturaty and responsibility.

its possible but very difficult and not the best environment for the kids they are raising.

People who end up having kids as teenagers are the ones who shouldn't reproduce. For instance, I believe I would make a knowledgeable, sensible mother. But you won't see me getting pregnant.

You act as if most young parents chose this fate? Teenagers make mistakes, big mistakes, it is something we CANNOT HELP. We are dumb, our brains aren't fully developed, and we fuck up big time. When this happens, and they keep their kid, and raise it.... it is one of the most amazing things. I have a lot of friends who are prego, or had kids at a young age. They do it on their own, their parents won't help, the guys are in and out coming when they please.... I feel horrible for them, and respect them at the same time. it's hard to put your life on hold because you have this thing that needs you and all of you...

It depends on the person. Odds are that the teenager will not be self-sufficient enough to raise a child, more or less take care of herself. She probably will have a high school education at most, which doesn't supply enough income to raise a child. Furthermore, she will have to work for money, therefore neglecting her child. Most teen parents make their parents or grandparents do most of the work and help finance everything. A teen parent, especially a single one, has to balance raising a young kid with working for low pay all while trying to go to school to get a better education for better pay.

Birth control always fails for a small minority. It's perfectly possible to end up accidentally pregnant without being a moron.
