This might have been posted before. I hope not.

What do you think of vaccines? Should they be required? Are they good or bad for the population as a whole?

On the one hand, they interfere with natural selection. On the other hand, our society is pretty artificial anyway.

Some people die from certain vaccines. Is that acceptable?

If they know it will cause a reaction, whether its mandatory or not, they wont give it you.

I guess I really don't have a problem with it.  But they shouldn't necessarily be required.  But I do understand the shots you get as a kid really do help you.

Well of course they should be required, or at least offered. As much as it interferes with natural selection, the thought of dying because of something that could have easily been prevented is a cold and scary though, eh?

I believe that lots of the problems such as autism are the fault of some vaccines, however the alternative outcome of not getting them could be much worse. I actually did a little research and found that by the age of 2 a child will have received anywhere from 30-50 vaccines. so what seems to me as a better solution is to spread these vaccinations out over a longer period of time and prioritizing witch vaccinations are important enough to be given first.
