Age difference, on the other hand, does matter, and it matters a lot.  If you two are at very different stages in life, it's going to be difficult to find some common ground.  And by common ground, I don't just mean interests and the like, but how you two define a "serious" relationship, what you two want out of a relationship (such as if one wants to get married and sooner than the other, and one just wants to be together and not worry about marriage for now), one of you going to a university while the other is still in high school (and not about to graduate any time soon either), etc.

But two years is nothing and a perfectly fine age difference.  Age differences only really start getting iffy once they reach four years (if you're younger; more if you're older).

What did your parents say and what did you do.

my parents think hes only 17 so they dont really make a big thing out of it. i didnt tell him i was 15 until like after 2 weeks and we couldnt not be with eachother. my parents would flip out if they new he was 20.

Ya she didht tell me her age until I already feel for her. She wants me to tell her parents I am a year younger than I actually am, but I think they will find out and be furious.

girls just do that i guess. thats exactly what my boyfriend said. i would just do it and tell her parents ur a year younger just until she gets older and then be like whoops im 16.

This, boys and girls, is how statutory rape occurs when unbeknown to the older person, or "rapist."

For the person in the first quote, if you truly cared about your boyfriend at all, you would have told him how old you were long before things got too involved.  Your omitting that information, or perhaps even lying, could potentially screw things up for your boyfriend quite a bit, whether you two have sex or not.

If there's anything these quotes should tell you, it's to make sure you know how old somebody is before you find yourself geting involved with them.  Perfectly fine people have wound up in jail and on the sex offender registry thanks to this kind of bullshit.
