Codeine contains both codeine (ranging from 8-60mg doses) and acetaminophen (up to 400mg? i believe).

This would obviously be something to work out with his doctor but 300mg should be ok.  450 mg is considered the red zone for acetaminophen

I'm guessing you're talking about the acetaminophen dosage in each pill?

I'm talking about codeine, minus the acetaminophen. I know acetaminophen fucks up your liver, which is why there is no acetaminophen mentioned in the topic, as I am aware of it and it is not an issue.

i don't see why people need so much... what's the point of nodding off. the first time i took i took two 30mg tablets and was in heaven.

i don't see why people need so much... what's the point of nodding off. the first time i took i took two 30mg tablets and was in heaven.

I don't see why either, he took half that amount a few weeks ago and didn't feel much, but hadn't done anything since then until the 300mg dose...so that rules out tolerance. A little over 150 lbs isn't that much; I'm stumped about why he needed so much as well.
Needless to say, after he felt the positive effects, he felt extremely sick and itchy, couldn't sleep, piss, shit, and was gagging up mucus despite the extreme cotton mouth. It is possible the acetaminophen wasn't properly removed during the extraction, so this could have resulted in some side effects.
Eventually he kept complaining about extreme stomach pains, and he could hardly move...could this be because of the fact that he hasn't had a bowel movement in a few days? He took an exlax before the codeine and took 1 and a half when he woke up today, but he's still worried about not having a bowel movement yet..
