I got a post deleted for saying "Pirate your own movies. Dont have us help you". It was deleted for encouraging illegal activity. However, in that same thread, several other people had posted actual links, including one claiming to be a direct link to the movie. Even FurryPanther (who ironically enough was the mod that deleted my post) had posted a link. So, someone care to explain how telling someone to find their own pirated movies is worse than actually giving them said pirated content? Topic Im referencing: http://www.golivewire.com/forums/peer-yyysbsb-support-a-x-64770962301231290.html Edit: Now thank you. That wasnt so hard. Remove the entire illegal topic, rather than just my post. Now I feel a little bit better. Post edited at 2:03 pm on Sep. 14, 2008 by drifting

In my opinion, the whole topic should be scrapped.

I talked to him about the policy regarding such topics yesterday, and they discussed it in the Mod forum, and this is what he came back with: "So the policy is, BitTorrent discussions are allowed, but when illegal file transfer is directly discussed, it's against policy." I'm not sure exactly what you wrote or mentioned, so I can't really say whether your comment breaks the above rule or not. Needless to say I'm a bit confused at the situation myself as to what qualifies as illegal file transfer. Then there's the question of how linking to movie websites like FP did doesn't fall under the same category. I reported the topic but nothing was done about it. If discussing downloading on Limewire is against policy, why isn't this against it too? Whilst he didn't include it in the above statement, watching movies online is just as illegal as downloading it from a Peer-2-Peer network. Post edited at 2:07 pm on Sep. 14, 2008 by marshmellowman

You can talk about bit torrent and the tech etc, however, not about using it for something illegal. for example, getting software that is pirated, or movies etc.
------- Anyone who isn't confused really doesn't understand the situation http://craigk.org/pictures/ Can you work out the code?
